Folks, just a word of caution on sparks in a gas tank. I would either fill it with water to cut, grind or weld. Saw a few bad burned people over the years messing with welding a gas tank.

Cut the gas off and buy a can of starter fluid. Do no turn the gas on and spray a little starter fluid into the carb. Kick it a few times. You should get a fire up with the starting fluid. It will not continue to run, just a fire up for a few seconds. Do it several times and then your engine should be cleaned out ready to use the gas into the carb. If it is flooding, could be the float level or the needle valve that the float opens for gas to come in, not the adjusting needle this time. Then adjust the screw in needle valve to get the right mixture.

On the older engines, there is a screw under the engine that holds the mag bearing in place.

Easy, take the old belt to Napa and the counter man will match it with a new Gates Belt.
If not, place a mark on the outside of the belt and measure all the way around and then have
Napa do the same on a new Gates Belt.

my old camera batt out.
The loop is pushed up from a bolt below it. Little flange goes against the loop and the bolt comes next> the bolt screws thru the horizontal bar that the light switch is bolted to. The bolt has two
nuts to lock the screw in place after you get the tank pressed up in place.

There is a guy in ohio named Ollie who makes a molded tail light lens. He has some sort of a home made glass pour set up and sells lens from many old cars such as fords etc. Some of his molded lens do show that they are not top original quality however.

That is a hold down brace. Some tanks with the single cap do not have them and some
have them.
