Reading through JP’s patent is interesting. Who amongst us knew that these engines were “supercharged?” 😂 What is interesting is when the Model L changed from a rotary valve to the Model M style crank, it lost its supercharging ability.

I was doing a little research today and located Treen's patent for his internal combustion engines. Thought the group would enjoy it.

Hello from Ohio. Just joined this group. I'm trying to educate myself before I buy my first Simplex. Any information would be appreciated. I'm looking for books, service manuals, etc.

Great Job.

Thanks

The sidecover came from the same motor.. I kinda hated to scavenge the Little kick start Briggs.. But it needed some work..I did not want to put the money into it..And selling those local is not that easy around here, and shipping them is a pain..

Rear pedal and linkage is done..Going to work great I think..If some do not know what the pedal is from..It is a modified Kickstarter of a Old Briggs Washing Machine type motor..Thanks
