20h Anniversary Bikes
« on: March 13, 2019, 06:54:29 AM »
KartJockey and I have been trying to run down leads on 20th anniversary bikes.  We know they made fender decals for these, but we do not know if there was a special tank decal.  There are 2 pictures in Gary Wollard's book that lead us to speculate there might have been a thought to do it, but wasn't carried through. If anyone has a photo of a anniversary tank decal, please post it!

Rick ,

Maybe you've already seen this .
Here's what is claimed to be a 20th anniversary edition .
The only thing I see that indicates that is a fender decal .

Yeah, that's the only thing online we could find.   In Wollard's book, look at page 16, lower right photo, and page 38, upper right photo.

 I've seen a V decal similar to those .
But , I don't recall the decal being AUTO v Matic .
I think it may have been on a mini bike or some such .

And , where the "55" comes in , I have no idea .

There is the Sportsman emblem that has what looks like a similar V (below)

We know Simplex used that V on many things.  Here is an anniversary fender decal and a Sportsman tank with the V.
