motor pulley belt shield
« on: May 12, 2022, 05:26:25 AM »
Good morning,
I am wondering if anyone has a picture of motor pulley belt shield 1893? The parts book says it is used on all clutch models and I need to make one.
Currently I just have a spacer tube there for the stator plate.  What I do have for the belt is a guide that mounts to the carburetor and I think that is for the automatics which my auto does not have, so I can put it there.
Please let me know.
Thank you,
Scooter

Part 1893 is not used on the automatics, it is not even listed in those manuals.  Read the comment below for part # 1893.

Good afternoon,
Thank you for the reply, I missed that picture.  That is a good picture, so I can make one from that.

Thank you,

Good evening,
I made one of the 1893 belt shield type, but in the meantime did some reading and have found I am not sure when 1893 type came out.  I still have not seen a parts list specifically for the K so I do not know.  1893 is mentioned in the 1950 L model manual and is mentioned in a later manual as replacing 1891 and 1892 on all clutch models.
My project came with a 1981 and one of you explained to me where it attaches to the carburetor a long time ago.  I am thinking the K model did not use 1893.  Not sure.
Thank you,
Scooter
