Difficulty in getting back to neutral
« on: May 21, 2012, 05:51:55 AM »
Finally got the new carb fairly well adjusted and engine running ok again. Actually took a ride on Sunday. However, now I cannot get the bike back into neutral via the normal procedures, i.e., holding clutch pedal down and rolling bike back and forth.
Suggestions please!

Are you using the correct type belts (cogged)?  Is there enough lube on the cross shaft (that the pulleys slide back & forth on)?  If you shut the motor off & seek neutral, does it act normal?

The belts may be the problem. They have been loosing teeth!
