does anybody have a picture of what the kickstand and spring setup looks like on a 1955 automatic,somebody jerry rigged mine,thanks

Wayne M. might have those . They are just a heavy walled bent pipe with a hole and 'nub' welded on and a bolt , nut , spring and cotter pin .

If you make your own, make it a little longer than the stock one.  The factory made them just too short.

Different years had different length kickstands.  My 53 had a short one, the one that came on my 49, that I built thentrucknfrom was about 2 inches longer.  I put that one on my 53, and the bike stands up better.
