What a beautiful Automatic! Of course I love the matching of the frame line with the exhaust tube & the mag cover is cool as well. I'm bad. I know, cause this bike is such a good candidate for exact restoration...I just can't help being me lol.  Rick C

Pete, are you thinking that was factory?

The heat looks different also.  I also notice that the front brake is installed opposite of the normal position.

I wish there were more photos of this available.

I'm not sure about factory , but the mag cover and exhaust sure looks like they could be .
Very nicely done .
The mag cover seems to have a beaded lower edge , which makes for a clean finished look .

The seat looks to have a cinch type cover , probably homemade or possibly aftermarket .

I noticed the front brake was left instead of right . That may be due to the influence of MC single brakes being mounted on the left , mostly .

I didn't find any other pics of that bike .

Pete . :)

Simplex didn't come out with the automatic until 1953.  A 1952 Simplex also used a unique tank decal, and a single fill style tank.

I not sure if Pinterest ever gets anything right! Lol
