Remember this bike?

This bike was in Portland back when we were taking the big group photo on the corner.  His name was Randy but Travis and I nicknamed him "Detroit" before we knew his name as that is where he was from. If I remember right he was a principal of a school there.  He owned other full sized motorcycles.  Old Harleys and others.  But said he never rode them.  I am not sure he knew how or wanted to but knew he liked them.  But he did ride the Simplex!

I recall seeing pictures of that bike on this site a while back .

I recall wondering why a rendition of Simplex wings weren't cut into the motor side plate , instead of that Indian design .

I almost bought that one back a year or two back. But there was a few things I just didn't like about it. Can't remember what but there's something about it and I think it was a little bit cheaper.
