Torque converter questions
« on: June 02, 2019, 06:59:42 AM »
I'm using a clone 212 to re-power my Simplex. I ordered everything except the torque converter from Wayne because I had one from another project. It's an aysemetric setup. It turns out my driven pulley will not work due to it having a 5/8" bore and the kit need a 3/4" bore..... I found a 30 series 6" driven on ebay with a 3/4" bore.  Like $35  It should work right?

Yes, should work fine.  30 series is asymmetric.  I have used 2 of these in the past on  Simplex conversions, they work really well.

Is this the correct unit for a Predator 212?  This has a 3/16th keyway.   Will it work also on a Honda GC190 engine.   Also a photo of my ride.       That's a whizzer wheel with a whizzer sheave on my bike mocked up.   I want to use belts on my ride.   Any suggestions?

Looks like it will work fine.  I’ve used one on a China clone motor and a Honda GS190, which is the same as a GC motor.
