Hi, can an older simplex shifter cycle be converted to automatic? Would it be expensive, difficult or impossible? Thanks Lyn

Not really. When Simplex went to the automatic in 1953, they put a dogleg in the rear of the frame. This made room to fit the automatic clutch.
