Welcome Joe.  there's going to be some drooling over your scooter!!!!  I think you're the first one to join the group that I know of.  Please go to the "other models" section & tell us about it.

Are you one of the guys who's glum about the lack of ice this year???

Hi no ice does not bother me I am an open water kind of guy (new boat) I can't wait for open water and roads. I ride a 1980 R100RT BMW and also have a 1948 125S HD. It is nice to find people with interest in old bikes. grandpajoe

In Southern California 3 hours is not much more than a daily commute!

Maybe I should wait a few days ... Then It would be a year since the last post in this thread . I can't believe there have been no new members in that year . I can't believe it took me this long to post in this thread . I musta been too busy rebuilding my Simplex . ;)

Anyway , I'm originally from West Michigan . Born , raised , married , divorced , married and still have a house in Grand Rapids . We're never there , so we rent it out . We currently live in our motor home . North in the Summers and South in the Winters .

Pete . :)

I am Mike . A native of  Florida , never left my hometown of San Antonio . Yes there are actully a few of us here . LOL I am on the west coast of the state ,about 25 minutes from Tampa . I am still trying to figure what year my Simplex is . Guessing 48-49 . I put it into a couple boxes when I was a teen .Thinking it was around 1970/73 . I am slowly making my way to gathering it back up . I ride a Goldwing as my daily transportation .  Yes I should have kept the Mustang but its long gone . Another fun one was the Allstate 125 . Well looking back its always easy to see what we could/should have done differently . HeHe
