I am attaching a picture of my 48, do any of you know what the part is that is attached to the aluminum flywheel cover, it is a bracket with a slot in it and a straight piece sticking up

I think it is to help with belt "hop" as the pulleys change. But it is bent from where it should be. Take a look at mine. This is where it was when I got the bike.
