Simplex on Ebay

I emailed the seller on this to see what the serial number is.  I was really interested to see what it might be to understand more about the '52' specific tank decal.  Especially since I have a brochure card that calls it a 1951.  The seller said he can not find a serial number where I told him to look.  I am thinking there must be something he just didn't look well enough.  Even if it is a '51 there still would be some kind of a number.  Correct?

Just always anxious to understand this one year production decal .

I think the chassis numbers started in 1951.

No, but if this one wasn't in California, I would be bidding! Those 1952 bikes aren't seen much.
