I've found 26'' rims that are 4'' wide and 36 hole and tires to match, I also thought I had found some 2.125'' X 26" w/ 36 hole aluminum rims from a group south of the border, but when they got here they were only 1.50''. What a ripoff but I did get my money back.

I wanna see someone do it!   In all reality if the tires of equal quality... There's more there so it should hold up okay.  I'm gonna swing in Walmart and see if they have any so I can check em out up close... See if they sell the spares too

On our Victory motorcycle club website there's lots of chatter about the guys who are using car tires on the back of therie bikes.  They're called "dark siders".  The reason is car tires last 3 times longer than bike tires.  One guy mounted a video camera under his bike & then went for a ride on a curvy road to see how car tires handle on a bike.

Mike ,

You can't just leave us hanging like that . Post the link to that video . Please .

That's like licking a dripping ice cream cone in front of a kid in 90° weather and telling him he can't have any . ;)

Pete . :)

I can't find the original link, but if you look up "going dark side on motorcycle" or "car tire on motorcycle" on youtube, you'll see several videos.  Kinda neat.
