Just wanted to say HI from the new guy. I'm looking for a Simplex to restore.
Just missed one in Bryan Tx. made me sick. I'm in Burton Tx. and have other bikes that I ride.
Would love to have a Simplex to use as a get around town bike. Thanks for letting me in.

For the right bike, for the right price maybe 400 to 500 mls. Looking for something that is as complete as possible.
Would spend a little extra to have title in order so as to put it on the road. If anyone knows of something please let me know.

The gas tank on that ^ bike is not Simplex .

I have looked at that one and think that I might find something better. after a tank, road trip and etc. I could have 3000 in it and not even started on the restoration. Thanks for the heads up and please let me know of others that are out there.
If that one was less $ I could justify getting it. If not for repair for parts. I'm interested in all conditions from parts bikes to drivable  ones.   Cheers

I wouldn'tthink that high of a start cost maybe 2500 but thats not bad. There is a best offer button and its been on ebay a long time. Shoot offer a low of 1200 and see if you get a nibble.The engine and trans alone would cost that much if you are doing a regular rebuild. Also with a good co-pilot maybe a day there and back of driving.

I live on McNelly Ln. off 390 and I'm the guy doing the archaeological dig at the RR station cistern.

I would have to look closely at that ebay bike before I would even consider an offer.  There looks like so many things wrong  that it is very possible that the motor is a paper weight.  Look at the compression plate cover.  Who would do that?  What is hiding behind it?  I would pull that cover and look inside.  I have seen motors that had water in them that were all rotted out on the inside.  I have bought better for much less.

I've got a couple bikes I ride all the time and always looking for a reason to ride.

Looks like one to me. It is missing the pinion gear for the kickstart.
