According to Gary Wollard, these glue on panels came in both aluminum and chrome.

Does anyone know what years they were available on?

Hello,  My 1950  has them and they are alum.. they are glued on but fit very nice on the tank.  See 50 restoration project  section in the restoration pictures.

I have a pair that are polished aluminum with a light blue Servi Cycle decal.  I have seen a few others.  A friend has a bike that used to have a pair.  They were attached with a thick black adhesive that looked like cutback asphalt tile adhesive.
