I want to do something different and the 2 engines I am looking at one is 17.95" tall the other is 19.75" tall has any one ever put an engine in of this size and made it fit

ok so I have given up on trying to find a original engine for my 48 so I want to re-power it something else and I don't know where to start I can get a gc160 from tractor supply but is that enough HP ?
