Has an engine with shiftable trans been used?
« on: January 11, 2013, 12:28:00 PM »
I was looking at some of the old Honda 100-200 CC motorcycles. Looks like the engines are pretty small. Has anyone ever used one with a 4-6 speed trans on a Servi Cycle?

a great transmission to use would be the brittish burman gearbox from the mustangs and english bikes. they are really nice little self contained units with kickstart and clutch, 3 and 4 speed boxes. engine is direct drive to trans via sprocket and chain, you would need a different rear rim and hub for the rear chain but very doable.
