Reproduction Simplex on eBay
« on: September 25, 2014, 12:36:36 PM »
Looks like a Cubine brothers reproduction to me.

Check it out here:   http://www.ebay.com/itm/Simplex-motor-bike-/181536317211?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a44685f1b

I guess he really doesn't want to sell it. One picture and a poor one at that little to no description. Not much too go on.  ???

Yeah, I find it amazing how little info some people give.

That seat just looks silly!

I sent him a question requesting some pics of the other side, including what/how the rear brakes are, and what all he has (control box) on the handlebars?  The clutch set-up is evidently a TAV unit (as discussed in another post with SoCal)

Brakes are worksman, front and rear.  I have never seen that control box on the handlebars before.  Hopefully he posts some more pictures so we can get a better look.

That is also the first one I have seen with a Honda motor.    I have seen Briggs and Tecumseh engines used in the past.

Picked it up. It has a brigs engine. I don't know why he thought it was a Honda. The bike doesn't disappoint. Needs a little cleaning here and there. I hope to run it this week. I also have an extra seat pan, I am going to get it covered and changed out as soon as I can. I also have a new set of coker tires I am going to put on it as I don't like the look of the bike tires (and safety reasons).
