  Just a simple question I keep getting asked and I cant answer, why as my petrol tank got two filler caps when it is such a small single tank.   thanks   eric

Many of us believe it was merely for looks to compete with the changes of other motorcycles at the time.

Considering their history of adding, subtracting, altering, re-designing and use of what-ever was "available" at the time thru-out years, with seemingly no "rhyme or reason", I'd agree with your guess PD.  It might have just been someone on the production lines attempt at artistic design?  Like the gas tanks with separate oil and gas compartments.

I'd think there were no alterations made without approval from the head office . But ???
