We're in the Southern Arizona desert .

It's kinda hot , in the shade .

Humidity is up to 5% . It was at 3% a bit earlier .

A couple more days of this desert heat and we'll be heading for higher elevation .

Absolutely beautiful. It's about 73 degrees with a light breeze and low humidity which is pretty rare here.

In a month or two it's going to be 100 degrees with 90% humidity. When it gets like that, everyone sweats non-stop. Just a fact of life here.

Currently it's 70° here in Benson , Arizona .
Predicted to reach the low 80s this afternoon under clear Sunny skies .

We're just about 3,000 feet higher we were in Why , Az .
Tuesday , we plan on heading toward Deming , New Mexico for while .
That's about another thousand feet higher and a bit cooler .

We've found a neat little park in Oasis , New Mexico .
I think Spring has arrived . It's just a little warm  : currently it's 102° , Sunny , 4% Humidity with an 8 MPH breeze . It's due to cool to the lower 80s this weekend . That will be be comfortable with the low humidity . Still , the sun is hotter , directly , than Michigan .

And , the money shot . Proof that a motor home can get stuck in the mud . This was taken about 8 years ago .
 Obviously , we waited too long or not long enough . We caught the Spring thaw just right .
Once off the frost patch the wheels were on it sunk to the axles . We tore the yard up so much that that portion of the lawn became an addition to the field behind .

I’m with you.  We just stayed at the Henderson Park Inn in Destin last month, and that is living the high life! I love the Redneck Riviera.

Ha . That mud run was a one time 'event' , I hope never to repeat .
And , the Monaco is better than a 5 star hotel . I very much like sleeping in my own bed every night .

It's a gasser ( 9 - 10 MPG ) . The chassis is Ford with a 6.8L V10 310HP motor . All aluminum exterior , but for the fiberglass end caps .

How's the weather in your neighborhood ?

I find it amazing that winter can follow us this far South .
There's snow and ice , with temps to single digits .
Hopefully , that has hit it's low and the weather will start returning to something close to average .
Currently :
25° with a 10 MPH wind .
Average : 67° ...

My poor Simplex is out there literally frozen .

We're in south east Texas . About 85 miles east of San Antonio .
And , yes , the Simplex is here , too .
Been working on it , prior to the big freeze .
Looks like it may start warming a bit , thankfully . Maybe a few more days before I can resume my efforts .
I really do miss having a shop to mess around in .
