New guy from Wisconsin
« on: November 29, 2020, 07:25:35 PM »
Hello all,

I'm Mike from Wisconsin. I've always been a big fan of Simplex Cycles, and have had thoughts of building one in the back of my mind for years. (I wish I could go back to the swap meets of the early 80's. I saw them all the time, really cheap!) Recently I ran across this one locally. Of course it's "not for sale". But I'm joining the discussion to learn more about this particular bike, and Simplex in general, so if the guy does want to give it up, I'll be ready. Thanks.

Welcome Mike . :)

The guy is probably afraid that pole might fall over of he sells the bike . LOL

The bike is likely a 1949 K model .

Here's a brochure on the K model : http://simplexservi-cycle.com/index.php?topic=1854.0

Pete . :)
Goes around , Comes around . :)

Does this person give you a reason for not wanting to sell it? Are they planning on restoring it, or is it just "yard art" now?
