boring cylinder
« on: April 29, 2022, 06:07:12 PM »
Good evening,
My K model has .017" wear in the middle of the cylinder and I am wondering if anyone knows who can bore that and have the oversized piston to fit it?  Maybe Wayne?  Has anyone had one bored out?  Any idea of cost?

I normally do my own resizing, but my machine will not do this since it does not have a through hole cylinder.

Please let me know.
Thank you,
Scooter

Yes, Wayne does this and has pistons in many oversizes. I’ve used his .010, .020, and a .060 pistons.

Thank you for the reply,
I have not contacted Wayne since 2016.  I see in the parts section of the forum his contact.
Is his phone number still 256 353 5552 ?
Thank you,
Scooter

Just got off phone with Wayne.  Always great to talk to.  Even though this is the first time in my life I have had to ask someone else to machine my parts, I do not mind at all because I do not have a way to do the blind bore and he has the means and experience and parts.  His price is also very fair as far as I am concerned.  I do not recall the exact amount, but the work and parts is under $200.

One thing to note is the shipping address is PO box 655 Trinity AL 35673 if using USPS.  It is 91 Hudson Road, Decatur AL 35603 if using UPS.
