HELLO ,  JUST WANTED INTRODUCE MYSELF. I PURCHASED A 1948/49? SIMPLEX CYCLE. I HAVE BEEN READING SOME INFORMATION ON THE SITE.  I WILL LOOK AT THE BLOCK NUMBER AN FRAME NUMBER WHEN I GET HOME FROM WORK, I WILL POST IT SO I CAN GET REGISTERED. I AM I THE BEGINING STAGE OF A RESORATION. THANKS DAN

There were a lot of changes between 48 & 49 so dating your bike may be interesting.

NOT SURE WHERE THE "INTRODUCTIONS"  AREA IS?  BUT HERE IS MY INFO.
IM IN CALIFORNIA, JUST PURCHASED MY FIRST SIMPLEX. I WAS TOLD IT WAS A 1948, BUT DOES NOT HAVE THE GOOSE NECK. I HAVE THE FLAT PLATE. THE ENGINE NUMBER IS H10889.  I CANNOT FIND THE FRAME NUMBER NEAR THE FRONT OF THE FRAME. MAYBE TOO MANY COATS OF PAINT. I WANT TO POST PICTURES. I NEED TO FIGURE THAT BIT OUT.

Frame numbers don't appear until about 1951.  There is a possibility someone replaced the front end.  Does your bike have the narrow or wide rims?
